Kit Harington Says He’s Having a Hard Time Detaching From ‘Game of Thrones’

It’s not every day an actor lands the role of a lifetime like Kit Harington’s Jon Snow in Game of Thrones.

The hit HBO series ended earlier this year after eight seasons, and recently Kit opened up about what life has been like since.

“It was this total period of my life, which has been a big thing to detach from,” he said during E!’s Golden Globes red carpet pre-show last night. “It’s taken a little while.”

Without a doubt, Jon Snow was a fan favorite. The role earned him a Golden Globe nomination this year, but unfortunately the rest of this cast wasn’t there to celebrate with him.

“I haven’t got my gang,” said Kit, who was joined by his wife and Game of Thrones costar Rose Leslie. “It’s odd. It is odd. I haven’t been to these things without the rest of us around.”

Still, life after Game of Thrones has been an adjustment.

“It was always just getting into costume, first day getting into that outfit and sort of being back on set, being back with him as a character,” he said of his memories of playing Jon. “It’s in retrospect you start loving it. You worry about it a lot of the time.”

We miss you too, Kit! Don’t you worry… Jon Snow will live forever.
