Sara Gilbert Files for Separation from Linda Perry After Nearly 6 Years of Marriage
We’re incredibly bummed to report that Sara Gilbert and her wife Linda Perry are filing for divorce, according to TMZ.
Reportedly, Sara was the one to file papers for a legal separation yesterday in Los Angeles. Court documents note that she lists their date of separation as August 13, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Additionally, the former The Talk co-host requests for no spousal support to be awarded to either Linda or herself. The couple shares 4-year-old son Rhodes Emilio.
Sara also has two kids from a previous relationship: 15-year-old Levi Hawk and 12-year-old Sawyer Jane.
They started dating in 2011 and got married in 2014.
Of course, Sara left The Talk in April after serving on the panel for nine years. She’s currently the executive producer of The Conners (formerly Roseanne, but as you know that’s a whole other story!)
For those who don’t know, Linda is a four-time Grammy-nominated songwriter and music producer who’s written hits for Christina Aguilera, Pink, Gwen Stefani, and others.
Whatever happened between them, at least they’re settling it with seemingly little drama. We hope things work out for the better.
