Donald Trump Impeached: Hollywood Weighs In

We hope everyone got some sleep last night after America’s historic milestone.

In a history-making vote, President Donald Trump will now stand trial in the Senate in the new year after the House of Representatives impeached him on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress in connection with his Ukraine scandal.

Trump is only the third president in United States history to be impeached.

By a vote of 230 to 197 (and one present vote by Tulsi Gabbard), the House’s Democratic majority overcame Republican resistance in the minority for the abuse of power charge. And by a vote of 229 to 198 (with one present vote by Tulsi), the House voted for the obstruction of Congress charge.

Now, Trump will be tried in the Republican-majority Senate. In order to actually be convicted, nearly two dozen Republican senators need to be in favor — and that’s far from certain.

Still, much of Hollywood is weighing in. See below:
