Justin Bieber Speaks Out About His Past Racist Remarks

Justin Bieber took a stand against racism on Instagram, and addressed his own past using racial slurs.

“When I was young I was uneducated and found myself saying really hurtful things not knowing the power of my words,” he wrote. “Racism Is still very prevalent and I want to use my voice to remind we are all human being[s] and all of EQUAL VALUE BEFORE GOD!”

He added in another post, “I’m determined this holiday season to take ownership of all my shortcomings and work on them for myself and the ones I love!”

Of course, in 2014 Justin received backlash when a video surfaced of him using the N-word while making a racist joke.

At the time, his team stated the singer was “wrong” and that he personally went to Usher and Will Smith to help educate him.

Well, can you blame a man for speaking out for equality?
