Felicity Huffman is Seeking to Help Female Prison Inmates

Not long after being released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, Calif., Felicity Huffman is hoping to pay it forward on behalf of female prison inmates.

According to Page Six, the actress wants to work with incarcerated women as part of her community service program.

“Her experience is that these women are left behind,” a source close to the family told the outlet. “They’re abandoned. There’s no support for them either in the institution or when they leave the institution, and that broke her heart.”

In her statement to the court, Felicity opened up about her 19-year-old daughter Sophia Grace’s learning disability, which is why she says she broke the law by rigging her daughter’s SAT scores.

Clearly she met other women in prison who didn’t have the luxury of being Hollywood stars, and the system worked against them for it.

Whatever she does, it seems like this move is the perfect PR tool she needs right now. We hope it ends well!
