This week, it was announced that newcomer Jayme Lawson is joining the cast of the Matt Reeves-directed The Batman!

According to reports, Jayme’s character is named Bella and she’s described as “a grassroots political candidate running for office in Gotham.”

According to Collider, Bella is a substantial role in the film and now fans across the globe are hypothesizing that there is a kind of election or political subplot happening in the movie amidst the backdrop of Batman fighting the Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, and more.

Now, the real question everyone is wondering is… could Bella be Batgirl? Could it be true?!
