Nicole Scherzinger has reached out to fans, asking them for information after her cousin, John Boy, was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident in Fort Lauderdale, Florida last weekend.

“My family and I are pleading for any information which could help support the investigation into the tragic death of this incredible man,” she wrote on Instagram. “I ask that whoever did this, has the dignity and strength to come forward.”

She added that the whole situation is like “a nightmare, that we will never be able to wake from,” but she knows “that he is at peace with our Lord.”

According to Nicole, her cousin was struck by a 2009 to 2014 silver Hyundai Sonata on Saturday at around 3 a.m.
