Ouch! Talk about a stiff upper lip, right?

While at a Republican fundraiser this week, Donald Trump quipped that Melania would not be the grieving type if he was ever in a tragedy.

The president was referring to Rep. Steve Scalise, who was shot in a mass shooting in 2017.

“[Scalise’s spouse] cried her eyes out when I met her at the hospital that fateful day,” he said, according to Politico. “I mean, not many wives would react that way to tragedy. I know mine wouldn’t.”

The fundraiser itself was apparently attended by nearly 115 House Republicans, and is expected to have raised over $13 million.

Well, Melania is definitely not grieving that check!
