WATCH: Meghan Markle Gets Real About Her Struggles Being A Royal Mom

It’s been a rough few months for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as the British media continues to stalk them 24 hours a day.

In an emotional interview with ITV News, Meghan Markle nearly broke down in tears as she shared the difficulties of being a new mom in the royal spotlight.

“I would say, look, any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging,” she said in the interview set to air Sunday.

“And then when you have a newborn, you know? And especially as a woman, its really, it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed it’s um … yeah.”

The Duchess then thanked journalist Tom Bradby for asking how she is doing, saying, “Thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m OK, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”

When asked if it was fair to say that she is not OK and struggling, the royal replied simply, “Yes.”
