Is Ann Curry About to Spill The Beans On Matt Lauer?

It is not a good time to be Matt Lauer, y’all. That’s a fact.

According to a new report at Us Weekly, former Today anchor Ann Curry has a lot of information that could potentially “destroy” Matt’s entire career (as if it isn’t destroyed already).

Of course, Ann worked beside Matt on Today from 1997 to 2012.

“Ann has maintained a dignified silence, but a lot of people confided in her years ago and still do to this day,” a source told the outlet. “She knows more than most about the man Matt really is, and when she finally speaks out, it will destroy him.”

Ann lent her voice in Ronan Farrow’s book Catch and Kill. In it, she says that complaints about Matt’s treatment of women were well-known at the network. In fact, she says she took the concern to executives after a colleague — whom she did not name in the book — told her that he exposed himself to her.

“I told them that they had a problem in [Matt],” Ann told Ronan in the book. “That he had a problem with women. That they had to keep an eye on him.”

However, network execs insisted that Ann didn’t disclose that complaint.

“By her own account, Curry relayed no specific complaint, nor did she say Lauer’s ‘problem’ regarded any specific workplace misconduct,” NBC News President Noah Oppenheim wrote in a memo to staffers.

How quickly they fall, right? All we can do is stand back and watch the chips land. You know we’ll be following this story…
