Turns out, Laura Dern and Bradley Cooper are just really good friends.

“We’re amazing friends. We’re so lucky. And we’re family,” Laura told Us Weekly when asked about widespread rumors that they were romantically linked.

The rumors began when photos circulated of the Big Little Lies star and Bradley having lunch together in New York City over the summer.

Still, she’s not mad at the gossipers.

“I mean, everybody’s always gonna comment about whatever seems intriguing,” she added. “And he’s the greatest human, and one of my best friends in the world. So I don’t blame anyone for having deep curiosity about his life cause he’s spectacular.”
