Who knew Her Majesty had such a good sense of humor!

According to the Daily Mail, the Queen once pranked a group of American tourists who stumbled upon her walking around the property of one of her castles, but didn’t recognize her.

It was just outside Balmoral Castle in Scotland, the outlet stated. The 93-year-old monarch was wearing a head scarf at the time walking alongside one of her bodyguards.

Then, the American tourists struck up a conversation with her, asking if she lived nearby — and whether she’d ever met the Queen. LOL!

Here’s where it gets hilarious: The royal replied that yes, she did indeed live nearby, before gesturing toward the officer and added that while she had never met the Queen, “this policeman has.”

The longtime royal staffer Richard Griffin, who was the “policeman” in the story, originally shared the anecdote with the Times of London.
