Y’all remember that Twitter rant Constance Wu gave earlier this year?

In case you forgot, the actress raged online when “Fresh Off the Boat” was renewed in May. She posted: “So upset right now that I’m literally crying. Ugh. F–k.”

The tweet was seen as tone deaf, and received a lot of hate from trolls. Now she admits it was overdramatic.

Constance told The Los Angeles Times that her co-stars and bosses stood by her through it all: “I’m dramatic. I’m emotional. But they also know that that doesn’t represent me because they have a hundred episodes of behavior that proves otherwise.”

She added, “It was moving to me how many people from the show reached out to me, and even on set … to say, ‘Just so you know, we love you and we know who you are, and you didn’t deserve any of that stuff.’ Because they also know that I’m an actress — I can be dramatic.”
