We’re happy to report that Alex Trebek is back on Jeopardy! after finishing chemotherapy for stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Five months after being diagnosed, the host has begun production of Season 36: “Let me tell you, it’s going to be a good year,” he said in a promo video.

Pancreatic cancer kills 45,750 people a year, according to the American Cancer Society.

In an earlier video message announcing his diagnosis, he said to his fans: “Normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging. But I’m going to fight this and I’m going to keep working and with the love and support from my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease.”
