Lady Gaga is giving back to Dayton, Ohio; El Paso Texas; and Gilroy, California after they were devastated recently by mass shootings.

To show support, the singer is funding a total of 162 classrooms in all three cities. (125 classrooms in El Paso, 23 in Gilroy, and 14 in Dayton.)

“My heart goes out to those who were taken from us too soon and to their families, loved ones, and communities who are left to grieve. Everyone has the right to laws that make them feel safe in their communities. In this moment, I want to channel my confusion, frustration, and fury into hope. Hope that we are there for each other and for ourselves,” she wrote on Facebook on Friday.

The donation is through Donors Choose, an organization where teachers can fundraise for classroom projects for their students.
