It was a sad day on The Talk as Sara Gilbert said goodbye to the show she created.

Sara announced in April that she was leaving so she could have more time with her family and during her farewell, she gave emotional goodbyes to the team.

“We’ve shared so much together, so much joy and pain,” Sara said to co-host Sharon Osbourne. “We’ve been there with each other and for each other through so many moments … I love you … we’re going to be in each other’s lives. I’ll make sure of that.”

Sharon responded through tears, saying, “I can tell her things and she gives me good advice. It is like not having a sister with you anymore and it’s going to be hard, but she only lives down the road, just literally across the street.”

Sheryl Underwood, Eve, and Carrie-Ann Inaba also spoke about sharing the stage with Sara. Furthermore, Sara’s wife, songwriter Linda Perry, and daughter, Sawyer, gave a surprise performance on the show.
