R. Kelly is continuing to defend himself against federal sex crimes charges, but this time he’ll be doing it without his publicist Darrell Johnson.

Darrell stepped down Monday for “personal reasons,” lawyer Steve Greenberg announced on Twitter. The decision came soon after Darrell told CBS, when asked by Gayle King, that he would not leave his daughter alone with any accused “pedophile,” including R. Kelly.

“I wouldn’t leave my daughter with anyone — I’m going to say it again — that’s accused of being a pedophile,” he told Gayle.

Steve later told The Post when asked about Darrell’s comments, “We’re going to address the cases in the court. The only opinions we’re going to care about are the opinions of the 12 people seated on the case.”

R. Kelly is facing federal charges for allegedly setting up a nationwide sex ring to entrap under-aged girls. If convicted, Kelly faces decades in prison.
