The Game of Thrones cast took the stage this weekend at Comic-Con, but some diehard fans weren’t very pleased to see them.

Cast members included Maisie Williams, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Isaac Hempstead Wright, John Bradley, Jacob Anderson, Liam Cunningham, and Conleth Hill.

The show’s final season drew loads of divisiveness among fans due to its surprise ending, and according to Page Six, Nikolaj saw actual boos from the crowd when he defended his character’s death. He called the scene “great” and “perfect for that character’s ending,” adding, “It made sense to me.”

Conleth went on to say that the divisiveness might have been prompted by a “media-led hate campaign” while Nikolaj called on fans for civility.

“It comes to an end, it’s gonna piss you off no matter what because it’s the end,” Nikolaj said. “If you hated the ending, if you loved the ending, that’s great. Just don’t call people names.”
