Eddie Murphy And Jerry Seinfeld Speak About Their Rise In Comedy

Nothing makes us happier than watching two legendary comics speak about life and what makes things funny!

Over the weekend, Eddie Murphy and Jerry Seinfeld spoke at LA’s Paley Center following a screening of Jerry’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, featuring Eddie, during which Eddie described Jerry as the “most polished” comedian of their day.

“Eddie said Jerry was always the funniest and the most polished coming up,” Joy Reid, who moderated the panel, confirmed to Page Six, “He said, ‘Jerry figured out how to be a successful comedian before anyone else had — and he was the first comedian to have a nice car . . . a Saab.’”

As we previously reported, Eddie is reportedly in talks with Netflix for a series of specials worth $70 million.

“Jerry spoke about Eddie’s explosive rise to fame, saying that kind of thing happens only once in 50 to 100 years, it’s very rare,” another source said, adding, “Eddie mentioned he wasn’t as confident as people thought he was during his rise . . . and [he] spoke about his excitement going back into stand-up . . . because that is who he is.”
