Meghan Markle might be accustomed to the spotlight, but her new life as a Duchess is a whole new experience. And according to a source, she’s been struggling with it.

“Meghan has struggled with the intensity of the spotlight,” a source told People. “Although she is a former actress, this is on a different level.”

Since welcoming son Archie on May 6, she and Prince Harry have been making moves to protect their baby’s privacy. And no one understands the pressure that Meghan is under better than her sister-in-law, notes the source.

“It is an isolated existence,” says the insider, adding that Kate has also acknowledged that motherhood can be “lonely at times, and you do feel quite isolated. But so many other mothers are going through exactly what you are going through.”
