The upcoming Barbie film is in good hands in Oscar-nominated writers and directors, Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, who are set to write the live-action movie.

The movie will star Margot Robbie, according to The Wrap. Greta might also direct Barbie as well.

The original concept was developed by Amy Schumer, before she backed out of the project due to conflicts. Amy’s storyline would have centered on Barbie getting kicked out of the perfect world she lives in for not being perfect enough and finding her way in a real-world adventure.
