WATCH: Video Shows Jussie Smollett’s Creative Director Asking Cops To Stay Discreet On The Night Of The Attack

Footage was recently released from the body-cam of a police officer on the night of Jussie Smollett’s alleged hate crime attack. In the video, Jussie’s creative director pleads with police to keep his fame from being leaked to the public.

“He is, like, a star,” Frank Gatson is heard telling officers. “He works on the show Empire. So, I think — He doesn’t want that to be a big deal, you understand what I’m saying? But to me it’s kind of messed up, and the thing that bothers me the most — and kind of makes me emotional — is they put a makeshift noose around his f–king neck.”

Since the investigation, authorities have accused the actor of staging his own attack earlier this year. After charges were dropped by a prior prosecutor, a new special prosecutor has since been appointed to reopen the case.

Additional footage released shows Jussie greeting officers at his apartment with the noose that he accused his attackers of using still around his neck.
