She can certainly act, but can she write? Time magazine announced this week that Angelina Jolie is now a contributing editor, and will write one piece every month focusing on human rights.

Her writing will appear across Time’s global platforms. That’s a pretty big deal!

The announcement came in tandem with her first essay, “Angelina Jolie: What We Owe Refugees,” which was published online Wednesday in honor of World Refugee Day. It will also appear in the July print issue.

Of course, Angelina has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations since 2001, and in 2010 became a special envoy for the UN’s High Commissioner for Refugees. In a nutshell, she knows her stuff.
