Tiffany Haddish Pulls Out Of Atlanta Over The State’s Abortion Law

Tiffany Haddish is using her platform to protest Georgia’s restrictive abortion law, which bans abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected — which can be as early as six weeks, before many women even know they’re pregnant.

According to reports, the star sent a statement to ticketholders this weekend, saying she can’t “in good faith” perform in Georgia unless it withdraws the so-called heartbeat bill.

Tiffany was scheduled to perform June 22 at the Fox Theatre. The law is set to go into effect in 2020.

She’s not the only one protesting. Hollywood studios have come out to say they might also pull out of filming in Georgia if the law goes into effect. That will cause a huge dent in the state’s economy.
