Does Facebook Want To Be Like Netflix?

Facebook has a slew of plans to stream new shows on its Watch video platform, including orders from BuzzFeed and Tastemade.

The social media giant says that its video platform garners 720 million people per month. Recently, it’s launched a reboot of MTV’s The Real World and new scripted series with Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick, and Jessica Biel.

Ricky Van Veen, head of global creative strategy and media partnerships at Facebook, said in a blog post that Facebook “is quickly becoming a place where content and conversation organically come together.”

Other projects in the works include BuzzFeed’s Mi Quinceanera Come True, Studio71’s Fetch Me a Date, and Tastemade’s Sundays at Nonna’s.

Our question is now: Which do you prefer? Facebook or Netflix?
