Donald Trump couldn’t escape needing to clarify his “nasty” comment about Meghan Markle during his visit to the United Kingdom this week.

In a new interview, Trump claims to have misunderstood the comment. He told Piers Morgan that he wasn’t calling Meghan nasty herself, but rather her action in calling him misogynistic during his 2016 campaign.

Instead, Trump said, Meghan had acted nastily by criticizing him during the 2016 presidential election.

“She was nasty to me, and that’s okay for her to be nasty,” he told Piers on Good Morning Britain. “It’s not good for me to be nasty to her and I wasn’t.”

As far as his meeting with Prince Harry: “We didn’t talk about it,” he told Piers, adding, “I was going to because it was so falsely put out there.”

The point is… he said he DIDN’T call her nasty, and yet it was recorded and proven that he did. Perhaps he’s missing the context of the whole controversy. Eh well!
