Kate Spade Completed Its $1 Million Pledge To Mental Health Services

It’s been a year since Kate Spade took her own life, and now her foundation has just announced that they’ve completed their $1 million pledge to support mental health services.

The Kate Spade New York Foundation released a statement this morning, saying it is also donating $200,000 to The Jed Foundation, which goes to schools to help with independent mental health programs.

Additionally, the brand will match public donations to JED from Wednesday through June 12, up to $100,000, at jedfoundation.org/katespade.

How great is that?!

Before her death on June 5, 2018, at 55, Kate was battling depression and anxiety — often behind closed doors. Her death was a shock to the fashion community and inspired many executives to reconsider how they handle their own charitable contributions.

We miss you, Kate.
