R. Kelly Accused Of Witness Tampering In 2008 Child Porn Case

Just when we thought R. Kelly couldn’t be messier, new charges are surfacing for alleged pay offs the singer did in his 2008 child pornography trial.

According to TMZ, the R&B star is accused of paying off the family of his goddaughter, the alleged victim in the 2008 case. Furthermore, other witnesses were allegedly sent on vacation during the trial specifically so they couldn’t be called to the stand.

The travel arrangements were made by members of his team, TMZ added. As we know, R. Kelly was later acquitted in the 2008 trial partly because the victim didn’t testify.

Of course, this is witness tampering and is a HUGE deal in a court of law.

Prosecutors are currently looking into these details as they build the case against R. Kelly.

This is all happening in tandem with two separate probes in New York City as well as in Chicago, where he faces charges for allegedly sexually abusing three underage girls and one woman.
