Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Is Ending After Nearly 20 Years on Air

Our hearts are devastated to announce that the beloved ABC show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will be ending!

“After a successful 17-year run, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will not return in national syndication for the 2019-20 season,” a spokesperson said to People magazine.

The show first appeared in 1999 and then later moved to syndication in 2002. Of course, the show coined the phrases we use on the daily, like: “Is that your final answer?” and “phone a friend.”

In a nutshell, it’s an iconic show! In its run, its seen hosts like Regis Philbin, Meredith Vieira, Cedric the Entertainer, Terry Crews, and most recently Chris Harrison.

We’re so sad… but the show must go on. RIP!
