Britney Spears Requests Restraining Order Against Ex-Manager Sam Lutfi

Britney Spears’s lawyers are requesting a temporary restraining order against ex-manager Sam Lutfi, according to The Blast.

In the filing, the star is apparently requesting protection for herself, her two sons, her father, Jamie Spears, and mother, Lynne Spears. It was only two weeks ago that Britney was released from a mental health facility.

Now the question is… why the restraining order?!

Well, according to The Blast, the Spears family claims Sam has been harassing and threatening all of them via texts and tweets, which has created a bit of stress on the family.

Britney’s lawyers say that he’s extorting her by threatening “vigilante action, bribes and release of private information.”

One text message her lawyers claim Sam sent her was: “You are the one that’s been breaking your back for your children your entire life and yet you are still having to answer to people that have done nothing for your family yet they are in charge.”

In a nutshell, he’s trying to convince Britney that everyone in her life is against her so that he can swing in like a vulture and control her finances — allegedly.

Of course, Sam worked as Britney’s manager in the early 2000s, and her family has always maintained that he is responsible for her mental downfall in 2007.

Thankfully, Britney’s family is protecting her.
