Wow, Norah O’Donnell Is Getting Paid Way Less Than Gayle King After CBS Shift

It’s been a really good week for Gayle King, who recently solidified an $11 million per year salary while her co-anchor, Norah O’Donnell, got the boot from CBS This Morning.

But it’s not all bad for Norah. The anchor has been vying to be the anchor at CBS Evening News for quite some time — and she got it! The thing is, she’s getting paid nearly half of what Gayle is getting paid. (Clearly it helps to have Oprah help navigate your negotiation deals!)

According to Page Six, Norah is getting between $7 million and $8 million for the CBS Evening News job. She was previously making about $5 million on CBS This Morning.

Norah is also going to have to move to Washington, D.C. given that Norah’s family is based there. So that’s good! She’s also been given the title of managing editor of CBS Evening News.

Meanwhile, Gayle will be joined by new anchors Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil as co-hosts of CBS This Morning.

All’s well that ends well, right?
