That’s right. Sonic the Hedgehog is officially a movie! And they cast the best person ever as its villain: Jim Carrey.

Jim Carrey plays Dr. Ivo Robotnik, who is tasked with finding the ultra-fast hedgehog made famous by the popular video game. His character is brought in by the U.S. military after Sonic creates enough power to plunge the country into a blackout. Talk about drama!

“Whatever this creature is, our job is to secure it, neutralize it and see what makes it tick,” he says in the trailer, with a fabulous twirly mustache.
