You guys, the drama in the royal family is getting pretty serious.

According to a new report, the British royal family is apparently worried that Meghan Markle’s popularity is leading her to become even bigger than Princess Diana, which is why they’re determined to get her as far away from the media as possible.

“There have been various ideas floated for them to take on a job abroad, such as governor-general of Australia or Canada, wherever,” a palace source told The Sunday Times of London of Meghan and Harry.

Of course, the pregnant Meghan is getting the full brunt of the family’s alleged bitterness. The royals’ supposed idea to send them away was thwarted after they realized that sending Meghan closer to the United States will welcome even more media attention. The idea of sending them to Australia was nixed as well.

“The trouble is that you effectively set them up as king and queen of a whole separate country,” according to the source. “And 24-hour media means that Australia is not as far away as it used to be.”
