Justin Bieber Jokes That Shawn Mendes Stole His ‘Prince of Pop’ Title
Shawn Mendes was dubbed the Prince of Pop by Observer Magazine, and now Justin Bieber is fuming. In fact, the Biebs made it very clear on Instagram how he felt.
“Hmm gonna have to break a few more records to dethrone my title there bud (Canadian voice),” Justin wrote. “But if you want we can play hockey for it but I heard you’re a real bender on the ice we could just drop the buckets and tilt for it.”
In case you forgot, Shawn is Hailey Baldwin’s ex-boyfriend. Hailey is now married to Justin. Hence… you see why this is kind of a big deal?
Of course, when people got shaken up about the situation, Justin had to slide back in to clarify that he was only joking (or so he says).
“There is no competition and it was a playful joke people relax,” he wrote. “There’s no sides we’re all just here to make dope music. I’m just competitive as is he so it was just a little playful jargon.”
