Chicago Plans On Suing Jussie Smollett For $130K in Overtime Wages
Chicago has had enough of Jussie Smollett.
According to reports, Chicago P.D. is getting ready to sue the actor after he supposedly ignored their demand to pay back the $130,000 in overtime cops worked while investigating his alleged hoax hate-crime attack.
Jussie was told he needed to pay $130,106.15 within a week, but according to a new statement from the Chicago Law Department, he has “refused to reimburse the City of Chicago for the cost of police overtime spent investigating his false police report on January 29, 2019.”
Now, they plan on filing a “suit in the near future,” adding: “As part of this legal action, the Law Department will pursue the full measure of damages allowed under the ordinance.”
