Did R. Kelly Force Alleged ‘Sex Slave’ To Lie To Authorities?

The family of Joycelyn Savage claim that R. Kelly forced her lie to cops if ever she was questioned about their relationship.

According to TMZ, the family claims they have audio recordings of the singer proving his coercion — which were among a slew of digital evidence turned over to federal prosecutors in New York.

TMZ sources also said that the family has emails and texts between them and R. Kelly’s ex-assistant Cheryl Mack, who allegedly arranged a 2015 meeting between Joycelyn and the singer in Palm Springs, Calif. that changed the trajectory of their relationship.

Allegedly, in Palm Springs, then-19-year-old Joycelyn agreed to move in with him without her parents’ knowledge, and she’s been living with him ever since alongside 21-year-old Azriel Clary.

As TMZ reports, in some of the recordings, R. Kelly is heard talking about how he’d hide his relationship with Joycelyn, now 23. In another, he allegedly demands that she text him saying she was lying — proof he’d use against her if she ever turned on him.

During a meeting last week in Atlanta, the Savage family provided the feds with social media messages from R. Kelly’s team from over the years that they say show he had others trying to recruit young women for him, Page Six reported.

R. Kelly’s lawyer Steve Greenberg said of the tapes: “We are not going to continue to address anonymous rumors. From now on we are only going to deal with facts.”

The young ladies’ parents believe they’re being held against their will as part of his sex cult.
