Leave it up to Neil Patrick Harris to give the perfect gift!

The How I Met Your Mother alum recently surprised his brother Brian with a full on home makeover, and it was pretty flawless.

In a new episode of My Houzz, which premiered on People.com, Neil spoke about the definition of a home: “It means a place to escape to. Home is something I just relish, cherish.”

And he would know. Neil’s own family’s home — a restored townhouse in Harlem — definitely serves an escapism role in his family’s lives, which is why he wanted to gift the same type of space to Brian.

Neil said in the episode that Brian has an “Indiana Jones” vibe, and often enjoys outdoor activities, such as spelunking with his friends, so when the actor decided he was going to give his brother a home renovation, he knew he wanted to overhaul the backyard.

“Brian doesn’t always want me to spoil him, but I think this is one way I can do it,” he said. Watch the rest for yourself!
