Jussie Smollett Will Appear in Court Following Indictment

After nearly a month of media storms, Jussie Smollett is expected to appear in a Chicago court today, after he was hit with a 16-count indictment for allegedly lying about his hate attack.

According to ABC Chicago, the judge in the case will consider a motion from the media on whether to allow cameras in the courtroom during future proceedings. The Empire actor isn’t required to appear, but a source said that he will be there.

The defense doesn’t plan to object to the motion, according to reports, and Jussie’s arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.

Last week, the actor was indicted on felony charges of disorderly conduct for lying to police that he was the victim of a hate crime.

Without a doubt, this case will go down in Hollywood history.
