Aretha Franklin Biopic ‘Respect’ Sets Premiere Date!
The Aretha Franklin biopic we’ve been waiting for is coming out August 2020! And we can’t wait.
Respect will be directed by Liesl Tommy and written by Oscar winner Callie Khouri. The film follows the Queen of Soul from her childhood days singing in her father’s church’s choir to mega-stardom to performing her hits like “Respect” and “Chain of Fools.”
Of course, Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson will play Franklin. (YAS!)
