Bethenny Frankel’s custody battle against ex Jason Hoppy is just getting into full (and ugly) swing.

The Real Housewives of New York City star and her ex-husband Jason are both appearing in court in New York City to begin a custody trial over their 8-year-old daughter Bryn.

The reality star is seeking primary custody and full decision-making power over Bryn, while Jason wants to keep the current joint custody arrangement the same. Although the trial is expected to last a few days, it will interfere with the star’s promotional schedule for the upcoming season of RHONY.

Bethenny had to skip a pre-scheduled appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week to celebrate the return of the show because legal proceedings have interfered.

RHONY is kicking off its new season on Wednesday, but Bethenny won’t be doing any press or interviews this week to promote the show,” a source told People magazine. “She’s really excited for the new season, but her focus this week is her daughter.”

We hope everything ends well.
