Harvey Weinstein Is Having Trouble Finding A Female Lawyer

Harvey Weinstein is apparently on the search for a female lawyer, but unsurprisingly he’s having a bit of a hard time.

It was reported last month that Harvey had hired Pamela Mackey, the lawyer who successfully defended Kobe Bryant against a rape accusation. It was believed that she would round out his “dream team” alongside Jose Baez and Ronald S. Sullivan Jr., but Harvey and Pamela had a serious disagreement over her fee. As a result of the argument, she backed out.

Harvey is accused of raping a woman in 2013 and performing a forcible sex act on another woman in 2006. He is set to go on trial June 3 and faces life in prison if convicted.

His first lawyer, Ben Brafman, quit last month as the mogul looked to build a dream team.

“People around Harvey are saying he’s desperately trying to hire a ‘skirt’ — their term — for the team as he feels it will soften his image,” an insider told Page Six’s Richard Johnson. Harvey is still trying to hire folks. Among the other top female lawyers who have turned him down are Isabelle Kirshner and Susan Necheles, both of whom had no comment.
