Charo’s Husband, Kjell Rasten, Dead From Suicide
Charo’s husband, TV producer Kjell Rasten, shot himself on Monday afternoon, according to The Blast. According to reports, Charo ran from the house screaming and covered in blood.
An unidentified caller from the home called 911, and initially thought Kjell had fallen and hit his head. It was unclear what led up to the shooting, and there did not appear to be a suicide note left behind, the outlet reported.
Kjell worked as a TV producer in the ’70s and ’80s, and married Charo — whose real name is María del Rosario Pilar Martínez Molina Baeza — in 1978 and became her manager soon after.
