Is Matt Lauer Thinking About a TV Comeback?
Fans have speculated for some time now that Matt Lauer could be staging a comeback to TV following his exit from NBC after being accused of inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.
But, according to Page Six, it’s not true.
The reality is that Matt is in the midst of a multimillion-dollar divorce from his second wife, Annette Roque, whom he admitted cheating on, though the pair has not yet signed a deal. The couple is close to landing an agreement after both changed legal reps mid-divorce.
Meanwhile, Matt is staying low-key in the Hamptons and hanging out with his three kids. “There is no way that he’s thinking about returning to work at all,” a close friend told Page Six.
“How could he? He knows there’s no TV role for him now. And to be honest, it’s the furthest thing from his mind.”
