Ariana Grande’s fans are hardcore. After dropping her highly anticipated fifth album, Thank U, Next last week, many of the new songs went straight to the top of music charts.

But now, her loyal fanbase has decided to come together and boycott the pop star’s song “7 rings” in an effort to get another one of her singles to reach #1.

Fans created the hashtag #BOYCOTT7RINGS on Twitter and have been passionately spreading the word in hopes that their boycott will get her other track “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” to also reach the top spot.

Not sure this strategy makes sense, but OK! Regardless, Ariana caught wind of it and decided to support the fans.

“Y’all are so insane and funny and I love u. Nothings funnier than ‘boycott seven rings’….. I can’t lmao.” she tweeted, before reassuring them, “whatever’s meant to be will be, babies I ain’t goin nowhere #thankunext.”

Though Ariana was in disbelief of the situation, she let her fans know that she was supportive of their decisions, no matter how “insane” and surreal it may have appeared. “This is a wild time for us lmao do ur thing but also like how is this our problem rn …… what the f—,” she later tweeted.
