Meghan Markle has been going through a lot with media firestorms claiming she’s difficult to work with and that she’s causing a strife between Harry and William. But her friend George Clooney has her back. 

“They’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere, she’s been pursued and vilified,” he told reporters at a press panel while promoting his upcoming Hulu series Catch-22, according to Australia’s Who magazine. “She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and it’s history repeating itself. We’ve seen how that ends.” 

George was referencing Princess Diana’s fatal car crash in 1997 during which she was being chased by paparazzi.

Later, he revealed whether or not he will be the new royal baby’s godfather: “Oh yes, I’ll be godfather of the royals apparently,” he told reporters before clarifying he was joking with an emphatic, “No!”
