Here’s What Ariana Grande Would Have Worn To The Grammys
Ariana Grande boycotted the 2019 Grammys due to disagreements with the show’s producer Ken Ehrlich, but that doesn’t mean she can’t still dress to the nines.
One week before the Grammys, the singer not only pulled out of her scheduled performance, but also refused to attend: “I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me,” she wrote on Twitter, responding to an article in which Ken insinuated that her performance fell through because of poor planning. “I can pull together a performance over night [sic] and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend.”
Instead, the singer dressed in a designer gown and diamonds then posted it on Instagram letting the world know what she would have looked like.
“When @zacposen makes u a custom gown it doesn’t matter if you’re singing or not …. thank u,” she captioned an Instagram photo of herself sprawled on the floor in the strapless pale blue dress.
She also sported Borgioni opal diamond earrings and a custom Butani diamond choker necklace worth over $380,000, featuring more than 1,000 fancy-cut diamonds.
