Demi Lovato deleted her Twitter account this weekend during the Super Bowl after she made comments about rapper 21 Savage that didn’t sit well with fans.

When news broke earlier that day that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested the “Bank Account” rapper after authorities claimed he’s actually from the United Kingdom and has overstayed his welcome, she decided to make light of the hilarious memes that sprang on the Internet soon after.

“So far 21 savage memes have been my favorite part of the Super Bowl,” she tweeted. But fans didn’t think it was so funny.

One commenter wrote: “ALL THE MEMES AND S–T AINT FUNNY WHEN SOMEBODY GOING THROUGH SOME. PRAYING FOR MY DAWG AINT S–T FUNNY HIS FANILY [sic] DEPENDING ON HIM.”

Demi, who recently completed a long-term rehab stay for drug addiction, attempted to defend herself, but it didn’t seem to help: “If you’re gonna come at me for making a joke, try coming at me with some original not involving drugs,” she wrote.

She later added, “F–k Twitter. This is why I don’t tweet anymore.”

We’re sure she’ll get back on soon…
