Geoffrey Owens Is, Indeed, An Actor!

Geoffrey Owens is an actor. And if anyone is proud to say that, it’s him!

Last year, the former Cosby Show star went viral after a photo of him working at a New Jersey location of Trader Joe’s hit the Internet. After numerous interviews on daytime talk shows explaining his decision to take the grocer job, Geoffrey said he “didn’t advertise,” but wasn’t ashamed of it.

Now he’s at the SAG Awards!

“So somewhere in the middle of the road in my life, I found myself in the dark wood of unemployment and death but instead of switching careers like a sane person, I took a job at the local Trader Joe’s to see if I can hang in there with my career,” he said during the opening montage, before adding, “I am an actor.”

So good!
