Lionel Richie’s Son Taken Into Custody After Alleged Bomb Threat At Airport

Lionel Richie’s son, Miles Brockman Richie, apparently made a bomb threat at London’s Heathrow Airport and reportedly threatened to detonate it after being denied entry on a plane.

According to TMZ, he also punched a security guard and was lead to police custody.

Miles was then given a “caution” for “communicating false information, battery, and causing a bomb hoax” after authorities discovered he was lying about the explosives. By being given a “caution,” he accepted responsibility for his actions and was allowed to go on his way without being arrested or charged.

Miles is Lionel’s only son.

Reportedly, the kerfuffle began after he yelled at airport staff for being denied entry on a flight. Witnesses said he told workers about the bomb and claimed he would detonate it if he wasn’t allowed to board. That’s when police stepped in.

Just to put things into perspective, The Sun reports that Miles would have likely faced jail time had he been charged with a crime.

Last year, a man was sentenced to 10 months behinds bars for causing a bomb hoax. We assume he wasn’t the child of a Hollywood icon. That certainly helps.
