Kevin Hart Apologizes To The LGBTQ Community — Again

Kevin Hart’s latest apology came last night, only this time he referred to himself in the third person.

“Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community. I apologize,” he said on his radio show Monday, according to reports.

In case you forgot, Kevin stepped down from hosting the Oscars in early December after homophobic tweets he had sent years ago resurfaced online. He initially did not apologize for the statements, arguing that he’d done so at the time of the tweets, and eventually quit the hosting gig as criticism against him grew.

“We thought it was okay to talk like that, because that’s how we talked to one another … This is wrong now,” the actor said on the XM radio show. “Because now we’re in a space where I’m around people of the LGBTQ community, and I’m now aware of how these words make them feel, and why they say ‘That s–t hurt because of what I’ve been through.’”

Last week, Kevin appeared on The Ellen Show where Ellen DeGeneres revealed that she called the Academy herself expressing that she wanted him to host the event.

The Oscars are still without a host, a month before the show.
